Overview:

Join our SORC (Special Operations Resource Center) Department, which acts as the backbone of campaign operations by providing responsive, structured, and strategic support for launches, materials, logistics, travel, technology, office operations, and organizational knowledge.

SORC Materials and Logistics Support Staff will work remotely alongside SORC Directors to fulfill materials requests, coordinate equipment and shipments, maintain inventory records, support office launches and closeouts, assist with approved travel arrangements, and complete other duties as assigned. This position reports to the SORC Materials and Logistics Lead Director, and takes day to day assignments from them.

Locations: Remote we are only able to hire people based in the following states: Arkansas, Georgia, Indiana, Iowa, Maine, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.       

We are hiring immediately. All positions run through November 6th, 2026. Shifts are flexible and scheduled on weekdays and weekends in alignment with your availability and department needs. This is a part-time hourly position.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage materials requests from intake, to approval, through ordering, shipment tracking, delivery confirmation, and requester follow up.
  • Order and coordinate phones, tablets, SIM cards, WiFi equipment, laptops, printers, badges, uniforms, campaign gear, office supplies, and other approved materials.
  • Update materials and inventory trackers, and verify the accuracy of addresses, quantities, device assignments, shipping status, storage locations, returns, transfers, and final disposition.
  • Coordinate with vendors, cellular providers, storage staff, technology parters, directors, and other SORC staff to complete requests and resolve problems.
  • Assist with device activation, enrollment, testing, replacement, return, basic troubleshooting.
  • Support campaign office launches, urgent materials needs, office shutdown and closeouts, including equipment returns, transfers, storage, service cancellations, and inventory reconciliation.
  • Assist with approved flights, hotels, rental cars, housing, and itinerary details while confirming costs, approvals, and traveler information before booking.
  • Remain actively present online when scheduled, monitor Slack, email, shipping updates, assigned trackers, and communicate task progress, delays, questions, and shift availability clearly.
  • Engage with staff, travelers, and vendors with respect and cultural competence, attend weekly team meetings, participate in trainings, and learn new tasks as campaign needs change.
 

The Ideal Candidate Has:

  • High level of computer and internet literacy, with the ability to independently navigate multiple systems, manage browser based workflows, use spreadsheets and cloud-based tools, troubleshoot common technical issues, organize digital files, and quickly learn new software.
  • A high degree of attention to detail and the habit of checking names, addresses, dates, quantities, approvals, and assignments before taking action.
  • Strong organization, follow through, and the ability to manage several requests and deadlines without losing track.
  • Clear written and verbal communication, including proactive updates when an order, delivery, approval, booking, or assignment changes.
  • The ability to work independently in a remote environment, accept feedback, apply training, and remain calm while solving urgent problems.
  • Reliable availability every Saturday and Sunday. Weekend availability is a required condition of this position.
 

Nice To Haves:

  • Passionate for progressive issues and experience supporting political campaigns, nonprofit organizations, advocacy work, or distributed teams.
  • Experience with materials ordering, procurement, inventory, shipping, storage, vendor coordination, device support, and travel logistics.
  • Experience using Google Workspace, Slack, Airtable, or similar workplace tools.
 

Pay: Pay is $20/hour. This is a part-time position working up to 20+ hours/week.
