Roving Lead Director
About The Outreach Team
The Outreach Team is a leader in providing innovative campaign services to nonprofits and political campaigns. Specializing in managing large-scale voter contact initiatives, we are committed to fostering civic engagement and promoting positive change. This year, we are excited to expand our reach by running voter contact canvass offices to engage voters all across the country.
As part of our “Special Operations” team, this position will ensure the success of our campaigns by providing short-term support in under-staffed and/or underperforming offices. The Roving Lead Director will train and manage a diverse team of full-time field directors, and supervise teams of other full-time and part-time staff. Roving Lead Directors will stabilize offices, improve local management, and drive goals on campaigns to ensure the office stays on track to exceed its goals.
This is a full-time position for an experienced campaign director and significant travel is required. At The Outreach Team, the Special Ops Team is expected to collaborate closely with Project Directors overseeing an array of programs and successfully embed with local management in a variety of contexts. In this role you will ‘parachute in’ to various offices across the country as needed to maintain or improve office performance in a short-term/bridge capacity.
The position is primarily on the road, with assignments lasting four to seven days on average, and down time to work remotely from home in between in-office assignment. You should expect to work 40-60 hours per week, depending on how close to elections or other deadlines your project is. We cover the cost of travel and housing when you are out on assignments.
When you are assigned to an office and on the ground, you will be the bottom line person doing the work to make voter registration drives and voter contact drives successful. This position starts ASAP, and runs until November 9th, 2024.
