JOB TITLE: Field Director
LOCATION: Racine, WI
About The Outreach Team
The Outreach Team is a premier national field firm. We partner with organizations working to solve some of the biggest problems facing our society and help them build the resources they need to make an impact. We are a people-powered enterprise; our campaigns are effective because we hire diverse teams of talented people, invest in our staff, and treat them well.
We are hiring Field Directors to join us on an important and exciting voter registration campaign in partnership with Forward Majority. This campaign is centered on empowering citizens to make their voices heard and creating meaningful change in our democracy. Voter registration is a crucial first step to building political power in our communities.
For too long, systemic barriers have prevented many Americans from participating fully in our democracy. Voter registration is one of the most powerful tools we have to expand civic participation and ensure that every voice is heard. This campaign aims to change that by registering new voters who agree with our progressive values, such as abortion rights, taxing the wealthy, climate action, and immigration reform.
We are hiring for Lead Director and Field Director positions. Field Directors will recruit, train, and manage a team of local canvassers who will engage voters and register them to vote. Additionally, the Lead Director will manage a team of one or more Field Directors and will be responsible for building an office to scale from the ground up.
The Field Director is expected to go into the field themselves multiple days per week to canvass, train staff, and lead by example. They must also communicate long and short term goals to staff and manage campaign reporting. The Field Director manages canvassers and Team Leads and reports to the Lead Director. The Lead Director reports to the Project Director.
We are hiring immediately. This position will run through 2026.
