Role Overview

We are seeking a Roving Field Director to ensure the success of our campaigns by providing short-term, hands-on support to under-staffed and/or underperforming offices across the country. In this role, you will parachute into various offices as needed to stabilize operations, improve local management, and drive goals to ensure offices stay on track to exceed their targets.

This is a full-time position for an experienced campaign director, and significant travel is required. You will train and manage diverse teams of field directors and canvass staff, lead from the front by canvassing yourself, and serve as the bottom-line person responsible for making voter registration drives and voter contact drives successful. The Roving Field Director will collaborate closely with Project Directors overseeing an array of programs and successfully embed with local management in a variety of contexts.

The position is primarily on the road, with assignments lasting four to seven days on average, and downtime to work remotely from home in between in-office assignments. You should expect to work 40-60 hours per week, including evenings and weekends, depending on how close to elections or other deadlines your project is. We cover the cost of travel and housing when you are out on assignments.
