Tablet technology is a crucial component to empowering field teams to execute high-impact voter contact programs and creating meaningful change in our democracy. We will be deploying tablets across large-scale field operations to support progressive organizing work in key battleground states.

Tablet Program Manager

The Tablet Program Manager will oversee the planning, shipping, tracking, support, and return of tablets used for large scale field operations across Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. This role will serve as the main point of contact for all tablet related operations, including procurement coordination, device setup, inventory management, Mobile Device Management support, troubleshooting, shipping logistics, and end of program device reconciliation.

This position is critical to ensuring that tablets are properly configured, securely managed, field ready, and available to staff throughout the program. The Tablet Program Manager will work closely with field offices, partner organizations, vendors, and internal operations teams to maintain a smooth and organized tablet program from launch through closeout.

Location: Pennsylvania based (Must be NE Pennsylvania), with coordination across Pennsylvania and Wisconsin offices

Program Dates: May through October 2026 and looking to fill this role quickly

Responsibilities:

Tablet Procurement and Preparation

  • Coordinate tablet purchasing or leasing logistics based on the approved procurement model.
  • Receive, inventory, and organize tablets, cases, chargers, SIM cards, and related accessories.
  • Prepare tablets for shipment by ensuring each device is configured with required apps, standardized settings, security controls, and user access.
  • Test devices before shipment to confirm they are functional and field ready.
  • Support setup of a centralized staging and logistics hub for receiving, configuring, packaging, shipping, and processing returned or damaged tablets.

Inventory Management and Tracking

  • Maintain a centralized inventory tracking system for all tablets and accessories.
  • Assign tablets to specific offices, staff, or users as needed.
  • Track device status, location, condition, user assignment, damages, losses, replacements, and returns.
  • Maintain real time visibility into available inventory, shipped devices, spare devices, and damaged or missing equipment.
  • Support end of program inventory reconciliation and return processing.

Mobile Device Management Support (MDM)

  • Oversee the use of the Mobile Device Management platform, with Samsung Knox currently preferred.
  • Monitor device status, activation, location, compliance, and security settings.
  • Support remote configuration, app installation, device locking, approved app access, remote wiping, software updates, and troubleshooting through the MDM system.
  • Ensure all tablets remain secure, standardized, and ready for field use.

Shipping and Logistics

  • Coordinate tablet shipping timelines for Pennsylvania and Wisconsin offices.
  • Package and ship tablets to assigned offices.
  • Confirm receipt, activation, and readiness with field teams.
  • Provide clear onboarding instructions for staff and office leads.
  • Lead or support tablet trainings for staff, including basic device use, troubleshooting, care expectations, and reporting procedures.
  • Coordinate the return shipping of tablets at the end of the program or when devices are damaged, lost, or no longer needed.

Troubleshooting and Support

  • Serve as the primary support contact for tablet related questions and issues.
  • Create and maintain basic troubleshooting guides for field staff.
  • Provide remote support for device issues, app access, connectivity, login problems, device lockouts, lost devices, and damaged equipment.
  • Escalate vendor, hardware, SIM card, or MDM issues when needed.
  • Manage spare device swaps and replacement timelines to minimize disruption to field operations.

Communication and Coordination

  • Coordinate regularly with field offices, partner organizations, vendors, and internal operations staff.
  • Provide updates on inventory status, shipping progress, outstanding issues, damaged or missing devices, and replacement needs.
  • Help identify risks, gaps, and process improvements throughout the program.
  • Maintain clear documentation for device assignments, office needs, return status, repair history, and unresolved issues.

Qualifications:

Must Have:

  • Strong organizational and logistics management skills.
  • Experience managing inventory, equipment, technology, materials, or field operations.
  • Comfort learning and using technology systems, including inventory trackers, spreadsheets, device management platforms, and communication tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Ability to troubleshoot basic technology issues and communicate solutions clearly.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work across multiple teams, offices, and timelines.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities during high volume periods.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Mobile Device Management systems, Samsung Knox, tablets, field technology, or campaign operations.
  • Experience with large scale field programs, canvassing operations, or distributed office support.
  • Experience managing shipping, equipment preparation, or returned inventory.
  • Familiarity with Samsung tablets, Android devices, SIM cards, and remote device management.
  • Experience creating training materials, SOPs, checklists, or troubleshooting guides.
  • Ability to supervise or coordinate hourly support staff during high volume periods.

Physical and Logistical Requirements:

  • Ability to organize, package, label, and prepare tablets and accessories for shipment.
  • Ability to lift and move boxes of equipment as needed.
  • Availability during high traffic shipping and return periods, especially May, August, and October.
  • Ability to support offices across multiple states remotely.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary: $1,058- $1,346 per week.
  • This role is a full-time temporary salaried position for the duration of the tablet program, with potential hourly support staff added during peak shipping and return periods.
