Help us turn out constituents in Corpus Christi and surrounding towns for climate action! We are looking for a team of canvassers to help us reach constituents who deserve a voice in decisions that will have devastating climate impacts in their communities. Our team is connecting directly with community members on the ground through door-to-door, crowd, and event-based outreach. We will be educating and engaging the public on issues impacting their community and climate as it relates to justice, jobs, and health. Join us as we build power to hold both lawmakers and polluters accountable through grassroots organizing and mobilize constituents to take action locally and make an impact.

This role is a great opportunity to gain experience in the following areas: Leadership, Communication & Advocacy, Community Outreach & Engagement, Campaign Work, Public Policy, and Social Enterprise.

Get paid well! Canvassing positions start at $22/hour. We offer overtime pay, driver bonuses, shift bonuses, paid training, sick pay, and bonuses for friend referrals. If you are a fluent bilingual speaker, you may earn an additional $1 per hour.

Locations: Corpus Christi, TX and surrounding areas

We are hiring immediately, all positions run through November 7, with possibilities for advancement afterwards. Shifts run from 11:30 am - 7:30 pm Tuesdays through Sundays, with the possibility to work part-time or full-time. Weekend availability is preferred.

Canvasser Responsibilities ($22/hr):
- Spend 50-75% of your week canvassing daily through door-to-door, crowd, or event-based outreach to spread awareness, capture supporters, and drive people to action
- Spent 25-50% of your week phone banking to follow up with supporters and reach out to new constituents
- Engage with the public in a friendly and respectful manner
- Deliver a compelling campaign message, and collect complete survey answers from the public
- Participate in staff training to improve outreach skills
- Follow the campaign's safety protocols
- Assist campaign organizers with campaign events, set up and recruitment
- Assist campaign organizers with data collection and administrative work

The ideal candidate:
- Passionate about progressive politics and fostering democracy
- Strong communication skills; you should enjoy working with other people and be willing and excited to speak with everyone
- Hard worker who will stay motivated to engage as many people as possible
- Open to new challenges and are interested in building their campaign skills
- Culturally competent and able to respectfully engage with teammates and the community
- Prior canvassing experience is preferred, but not required.
